we managed to make it to my parents' house for christmas. and we had a wonderful time, for the most part.
i got to see 'the lord of the rings : the two towers' in the theatre, as well as a dinner out with my sweetie.
i went to church with my family, which was as uninspiring as ever, but i was amused with my daughter during most of the service christmas eve.
our car decided not to start, which was a bit unexpected... but, it honestly couldn't have happened in a better place, at a better time. we got it taken care of quickly, and more cheaply than i would have here, i'm sure.
my sister got engaged, which was also a bit unexpected but not surprising at this point.
and this was the first year my little one had much of a clue about christmas. she seemed to enjoy herself, as well as the time spent with her cousin, aunt and grandparents. and i think she's still looking for presents to open. her birthday should be much more fun this year as well.
i am looking foward to getting some things going business-wise as the new year gets underway. hopefully, things will be looking up soon.
